2024 was one for the books, highlighted by these amazing moments:

- Engaged and married to my love.
- Honeymoon to NYC.
- Spent a week touring Costa Rica.
- Spent 3 weeks in Brazil and successfully got her to the USA.
- Introduced her to the many holiday traditions.
- Showed her how beautiful Idaho is.

I was faced with illness throughout most of the year, but it put me in a position to crack the code and heal from my chronic pain. I couldn't have done it without the love and belief of my wife and family.

Some progress pictures of this beautiful rambler that is on the latter end of completion. We have a couple weeks of work left on the exterior. The winter has been tricky, but we've pushed through as best as we can and will finish up as the weather warms up. Tile, trim, and cabinets are in the works inside. This home is expected to be ready for a lucky homeowner by mid May. When the stone, front door, soffit/fascia, and paint are done, the home will really pop! It sits on a full acre, has a private well, custom tiled showers, trimmed out windows, a large laundry room, lots of open space, and much more. We are excited to showcase the beautiful craftsmanship of this home!

This stunning countryside rambler has been a fun project to see come to life. The design of this home is exciting and the view out the back yard is the cherry on top.

We are super excited for what we have planned out for this home, and we can't wait to share it's progress throughout the rest of the build.

A top notch 8 day framing completion! Front and back concrete patios will be poured tomorrow, and the rough sawn timber posts and beams will be installed once cured. Windows and roof are next so we can have a dry home for mechanicals.

Inching closer towards the framing portion of this custom home. The floor gets poured over our Stego vapor barrier tomorrow. If you weren't able to catch any of our stories on the underground water control portion of the build, we went the extra yard in making sure this basement never sees any moisture through the concrete walls or floor.

The home most likely would have been fine without a few of these extra details, but we saw some damp (not wet) ground after we excavated. After excavation, we put 6" of pit run base over the damp ground, and a 6" layer of pea gravel on top of that.

Once the footings and foundation were poured on top of those two layers, we installed a 20 mil impermeable vapor barrier so that any possible stagnant water is forced to stay below the concrete floor and stay at the bottom of the pea gravel.

Outside of the footings, we have a couple French drains that flow from one corner of the home to the opposite corner into a man hole that can be pumped out in the case of water collection.

As far as the exterior below grade protection goes, we rolled tar over the concrete and installed a continuous dimple membrane that allows water to flow down to the French drain and bypass hydrostatic contact with the foundation walls.
